Vortex effect...

Hello, everyone, in this tutorial I will show how to you make a vortex effect (like a burst of light). 

Open photoshop and create a new document of 500x500 px and leave the background black; 

 

Now create a new layer to apply a gradient, we now apply a gradient from black to white like below; 



Now go to Filter> distort> Wave, and place settings below; 

 

Now we apply a further effect on this layer go Filter> distort> Polar cordinates. Place in rectangular to Polar option and click ok. Your image is like the photo below; 



Now we apply the gloss with the same layer selected, we will apply a filter in Filter> Render> Lighting Effects ..., and set the options as below, 



his image is more or less well; 

 

Finally we now apply the color with the saturation tool, you can put the color you want to use the saturation tool, use the shortcut CTRL + U or Image> Adjustments> Hue / Saturation ... leave the option colorize checked.

In HUE option you exchange the colors in the Saturation option you can increase or decrease the intensity of color and the last option is to increase or decrease the brightness,
